It will only be a month or two before you can start sowing more seeds as light levels increase, and if you enjoy using recycled items start saving lots of household items like food tins, toilet roll holders and egg boxes. They can all be used to sow seeds and grow plants in the greenhouse along with your seed trays stacked on racks for space saving.

It’s always a good idea to keep a check on plants in the greenhouse, even during the dormant winter stage. You may find signs of pests or diseases that you can eradicate before the temperature increases for spring. If you do, make sure you give everywhere a clean with soapy water.

If the sun shines and it does get warm, just giving your greenhouse a little ventilation during the warmer parts of the day is a good idea. Air circulation is needed so open the vents and the door, taking care to protect any tender plants in the process. If you have automatic vents, they should do the job perfectly for you when the temperature increases.
